1. All
competing athletes must travel with the team and coaching staff
TO events on TUSD provided transportation. TUSD requires all drivers
to be licensed in good standing with the state and have adequate
personal insurance coverage, in addition to TUSD insurance.
2. All
coaching and Sabino staff have undergone a TUSD background check
and fingerprinting. A certified coach or staff member is present
at all functions.
3. Athletes
may leave events after the conclusion of all team functions with
parents, or others listed on their emergency contact form, if they
have the proper documentation on file. Coach must make eye contact
with the parents and shake the wrestler's hand before they are excused
from an event. Wrestlers must also check out with a manager who
will document appropriately.
4. On
overnight events, all competing athletes must stay with the team
and coaching staff in rooms provided by TUSD.
5. No
wrestler may leave an event and then return to compete.
6. Wrestlers
must stay with the team and under the direct supervision of coaching
staff at all times, unless officially released from the event to
go home with parents.
7. Wrestlers
should always bring money for meals and snacks/drinks for personal
use. TUSD provides a stipend for meals on overnight trips, but not
for local events. We typically stop for food after the event is
complete (local or out of town), which will delay our return time.
