Sabino vs. Desert View and Santa Rita

On January 23rd, Sabino hosted both Desert View and Santa Rita High Schools. Like all home meets, this one was supported by our fine Sabercats Wrestling Club boosters who provided a concession stand, help at the timing/scoring table, and put together some nice awards for our graduating Senior wrestlers and their families.

This first picture also shows our own Athletic Trainer Connie in the background - she's always there to help out, even at away meets. In case we don't say it often enough, THANKS, Connie!

First up was Desert View.

Then Desert View and Santa Rita wrestled against each other. Though there were some good matches, this webmaster didn't happen to get any photos of them. You can check their websites by clicking either school name (above), though when last we checked, there were no wrestling pictures available.

Third round was Sabino vs. Santa Rita, and yes, we have pictures! We have some gaps in our lineup, they had some gaps, so there weren't very many matches. This is all the more reason for Sabino athletes to join our team - lots of opportunities in all of the weight classes! We did get a few good shots:
